		<title>Premiere recording of &#8220;The Metallic Violins&#8221;</title>
		<description><![CDATA[That admirable bastion of the Australian recording industry, Tall Poppies, has recently released a disc entitled The Metallic Violins, which opens with my piece for two violins, The Metallic Violins.



This disc is amazingly good.  The standard of performance by Natsuko Yoshimoto and James Cuddeford is off the charts.  The recording quality is beautiful. [...]]]></description>

		<title>New piece for Double Bass and strings</title>
		<description><![CDATA[A new work, Crime and Punishment has recently been completed.  This 10 minute piece was commissioned by Barbara Blackman for the Australian Chamber Orchestra, with soloist, Maxime Bibeau.  It will be performed in March across the country.



It has been an enormous pleasure to work with Maxime on what is a very virtuosic piece. [...]]]></description>

		<title>Great reviews continue for e=mc2</title>
		<description><![CDATA[UPDATE 1: e=mc2 has won a prestigious 2010 South Bank Show Award for Dance.

UPDATE 2: e=mc2 has been nominated for a 2010 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production.

		<title>New work for Southern Cross Soloists</title>
		<description><![CDATA[I have very recently completed a new work for the outstanding Australian ensemble, Southern Cross Soloists, featuring Jack Liebeck (pictured below).  The piece is entitled &#8220;Central Australian Song&#8221;, and is based upon issues of nuclear testing in Australia. 		<description><![CDATA[Tonight marks the premiere of the ballet score e=mc2, commissioned by the Birmingham Royal Ballet, as part of their Quantum Leaps programme.  The premiere is 24 September 2009 at the Birmingham Hippodrome, conducted by Paul Murphy.

		<title>Kalkadunga at G&#8217;Day USA 2009</title>
		<description><![CDATA[The final movement of the Kalkadungu (co-composed by and featuring didjeridu virtuoso William Barton) was performed recently as part of the 2009 G&#8217;Day USA celebration concerts in Royce Hall, LA and Carnegie Hall, NY.

The performers were William Barton and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Arvo Volmer.
