Tempos in Little Chrissietina, technologic 1-2

Posted on Thursday 4 August 2005

If you happen to have received the CD Matthew Hindson: String Music for Young Players, you will hear some extremely fast playing in Little Chrissietina’s Magic Fantasy and the second movement of technologic 1-2.

The tempos in each of these recordings are at the very top end in terms of tempo: perhaps even a little too fast - and I only have myself to blame for pushing the performers to these speeds! So if you are thinking of perhaps playing either of these works, rest assured that they’re just as effective at a slightly slower tempo.

Hi! I’ve been using ur site for a couple of months now doing research for my HSC Viva Voce, but I’m having so much trouble navigating around ur site. I spend hours on ur website just trying to find wat i need! I would definately love to hear more excerpts, especially of ‘Homage to Metallica’ (possibly the hardest recording I have ever had to track down). I love ur music and can’t wait to see what else u come up with! Katie

Hello my name Is Erin Tonkin. I am currently doing my HSC and for music I am playing technologic iii. I have some queries about the piece Is there a time in which the piece runs for. I have a 4 min time limit and i know it would be absolute sacrilige to cut any of the piece out. In bar 7 the note is to gliss up a tone from D which it says is F but this isnt actually a tone up. Which part is incorrect? the F part or the tone part? also are there any patterns which occur over the piece which may aid in the coming together of it. My violin teacher and i were trying to work some out but were not making much progress. Any help you would be able to give would be excellent

    Yours Sincerely

    Erin Tonkin
